Integrates with Surescripts
Axxess has announced an integration with Surescripts, a nationwide health information network. Surescripts helps healthcare providers connect with each other in order to improve patient care and reduce costs. Its platform supports electronic transmission of clinical information and medication information. It also enables physicians to conduct REMS enrollment processes and provide patient support services.
The Surescripts integration enables users to electronically send a PA Request to a prescriber. The request is sent without transaction charges. The pharmacy can now also send a reminder on the printing of Patient Leaflets with multiple labels. This prompt is only displayed if the pharmacy’s settings indicate that it should be displayed.
